High-Performance, Cloud Backup Software Protects 250,000 Servers Worldwide

R1Soft also announced that more than 250,000 Windows and Linux servers in some of the world's largest data centers are protected with CDP, the affordable high-performance, software for Windows and Linux servers in the cloud.
The new SQL Server add-on for CDP 4.0 provides:
SQL Server backups as frequently as every hour
Minimal overhead and minimal impact to SQL Server performance
Encryption (Disk Safe Encryption) using AES-256
Compression

The new version of R1Soft CDP also now includes a multi-volume snapshot capability for Windows servers, improvements to MySQL backup, and enhancements to CDP's SOAP-based API leveraged by large deployments for administration.
R1Soft CDP 4.0 is available today and is priced at $699. The SQL Server add-on is $150 per CDP agent.
