NetBase Brand Passion Indices Analyze Men and Women's Favorite Breakfast Brands

This week's Brand Passion Index takes a look at men and women's emotions, opinions and behaviors associated with pancake brands.

As has been the case in the past three installments, men and women shared the same buzz winner, with (IHOP) generating about 92% of the overall conversations among both genders' top ten brands. Women cited the varied syrup flavors as a reason to keep coming back to IHOP, while men liked the specialty pancake flavors. When it came to most loved brands, women raved about and men gave their love to Pancakes.

Pancake Pantry was the most loved for women with the highest Passion Intensity score of 83 as well as the highest Net Sentiment score of 92. Verbatim surfaced showed that this is due to the delicious chocolate chip pancakes, as well as the more unique offering of sweet potato pancakes.







Men had the highest passion levels for Starbucks Pancakes, with the combined metrics of a Passion Intensity score of 83 and a Net Sentiment score of 86. Verbatim showed the men talked about how delicious the pancakes are and expressed wishes for increased distribution of the chain's breakfast treats.
