Astro Pak Names Dr. Brent Ekstrand as Vice President of Technology & Quality
(firmenpresse) - COSTA MESA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 05/09/12 -- Astro Pak Corporation today announced the promotion of Brent Ekstrand to Vice President of Technology & Quality. Dr. Ekstrand will be responsible for overseeing the technology advancement, quality programs and department for the company's Precision and High Purity Chemical Cleaning services. Dr. Ekstrand also serves as a Management Team member providing guidance to Astro Pak's corporate leadership.
Dr. Ekstrand brings over 26 years of experience in Research & Development and Quality Systems management. He earned his Ph.D in Pharmacology from the University of Pacific. Since joining the company in 1997 he has served in a variety of management posts with the company. Prior to Astro Pak, Dr. Ekstrand worked at San Antonio Community Hospital as a pharmaceutical Therapy Specialist.
"Brent has performed at a high level in his prior positions here at Astro Pak, demonstrating his ability to manage projects and departments with excellence," said Erik Frankl, Senior Vice President at Astro Pak. "Brent will be in a position to provide focus and leadership for our continued technology developments in the area of process enhancements as well as oversee new service offerings. Among Dr. Ekstrand's many accomplishments at Astro Pak, he was instrumental in garnering the AS9100 and ISO 9001 certifications for the company's premier cleanroom facility located in CA.
Dr. Ekstrand resides in Southern California.
