Morgan Meighen Receives the Award of Excellence from Heritage Toronto for the Restoration of 10 Toronto Street
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 05/11/12 -- Morgan Meighen & Associates Limited announces the receipt of the Award of Excellence from City of Toronto, Heritage Toronto for the "careful restoration of the exterior and well integrated interior renovation" of the Seventh Post Office, 10 Toronto Street, Ontario.
The building at 10 Toronto Street, one of the City's longest surviving stone buildings with origins going back to the 1850s, is located in downtown Toronto's financial core. It has a storied history, built for the Province of Upper Canada as the No. 7 Post Office, later to be tenanted by the Bank of Canada and, more latterly, Argus Corporation Limited. Restorations of the historical building were completed in 2009 and it now serves as the permanent offices of Morgan Meighen & Associates Limited.
