Matrix Asset Management Inc. Reports Voting Results of Its Annual Meeting of Shareholders and Announces New Appointment to Board of Directors

(the "Company" or "Matrix") (TSX: MTA) is pleased to announce that its shareholders have approved the resolutions presented at its annual meeting of shareholders (the "Meeting") held on May 15, 2012, including the election of the proposed nominees to the Board of Directors of Matrix.
Matrix is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David Balsdon to its Board of Directors. Mr. Balsdon is the Chief Operating Officer of Matrix and has over twenty years of valuable industry experience.
Mr. Brent Barrie did not stand for re-election at the Meeting. Matrix and the Board of Directors would like to sincerely thank Mr. Barrie for the strong contribution he has made to Matrix.
