A new 'whispering' awning made by the manufacturer markilux is gentle on the ears. The patented silentec technology minimizes noise during extension and retraction of automated awnings.

Awning with quieter motor operation
A new 'whispering’ awning by German manufacturer markilux caters to this need. With the new, patented silentec technology*, the automatically-controlled extension and retraction noises of the markilux 6000 patio awning can be reduced to that of a normal living room.
Insulated and with sophisticated anti-noise technology
During extension or retraction the vibrations of the motor are transferred to the awning housing which creates mechanical noise. A special technology with motor insulation leaves the awning markedly quieter during extension and retraction.
Practical and problem solving
The new technology substantially reduces noise levels for automated awnings, making it not only advantageous for home owners but also those living in terraced or apartment houses as well as hospitals and retirement homes.
