StillSecure Cloud NSA Supports Public Cloud, IAAS Implementations; Now Available via Rackspace's Cloud Tools Program

Rackspace Cloud customers can now easily secure their cloud servers using StillSecure's (NSA), a new security service that allows customers to spin up a managed security cloud server within their public cloud infrastructure.
StillSecure will offer and provide support for its Cloud NSA solution to customers via Rackspace's Cloud Tools Program, along with StillSecure's Cloud Security Monitoring Service (), an automated cloud instance-based security solution. Cloud NSA offers organizations the opportunity to easily secure their public cloud servers through a full suite of managed security services, including managed firewall, IDPS, log management, WAF, file integrity monitoring and others. Organizations opting to utilize StillSecure's managed security services receive the Cloud NSA instance, 24x7 security event monitoring, access to security experts, and a full featured Web-based portal. The CentOS-based NSA image can be easily added to any existing infrastructure.
The Cloud NSA instance becomes a network gateway through which the other cloud instances in a customer's environment pass all traffic to and from the Internet. Traffic between instances is unaffected. Security is managed in one location, reducing complexity, and making it easy to ensure everything is properly locked down. Contrast that with host-based security solutions, which are managed on a per-host basis, increasing complexity and making it more difficult to audit the environment.
