This Year's Annual Graduate Fashion Week Runs from Sunday 10th - Wednesday 13th June 2012, at London's Earls Court Exhibition Centre, and Showcases the Very Best of Upcoming Fashion Talent from Universities Across Europe
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 06/06/12 -- Now in its 21st year of celebrating the work of over 1000 BA Fashion students, Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) continues to attract thousands of fashion enthusiasts and industry professionals from across the continent. Located in the heart of West London, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels operates several , all within walking distance of the venue.
The aim of the week is to promote the talent and creativity of young fashion students and it is totally non-profit making. Sponsorship this year has come from Mulberry, Rimmel and Karen Millen amongst others, and the title sponsor for 2012 is George ASDA.
Graduate Fashion Week is a fantastic platform for graduates of some of the best European fashion institutes to showcase their designs, and designers such as Stella McCartney, Giles Deacon and Christopher Bailey have all been introduced to the fashion world through GFW.
Throughout the four day event, several catwalk shows will take place, showcasing designers from institutions such as the Arts University College in Bournemouth, Kingston University and the University for the Creative Arts (UCA).
As well as the catwalk show, there will also be a main exhibition running throughout the four days, showing the development of the final projects from students from over 50 universities and over 52 courses. The final day closes with two gala shows, featuring final catwalks and presentations of awards to the best designers.
