Litha Shareholders Vote to Approve Strategic Investment by Paladin Labs

(TSX: PLB), a leading Canadian specialty pharmaceutical company, today announced that at a General Meeting of the Litha Healthcare Group Limited ("Litha") shareholders held on June 5, 2012, Litha shareholders voted to approve all of the ordinary and special resolutions for the strategic partnership with Paladin. Accordingly, the Transaction as defined will be implemented and the expected implementation date of the Transaction will be Monday, July 2, 2012, barring any delays with registration of the special resolutions with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission ("CIPC") in South Africa.
