The paper to be presented shows that OnPoint debugs all failures within a matter of minutes. According to paper, the critical step of debugging failures in the generated RTL code creates a debug gap between the two levels of the design and it places a bottleneck in realizing the productivity gains in verification. Hitachi has developed a methodology to overcome the lack of debug capabilities with the use of OnPoint.
