Triple Flip to Open First Manitoba Store on June 28

The popular retailer is no stranger to many of Winnipeg's youngest fashionistas. Already with nine locations across the country, Triple Flip has received numerous pleas from Winnipeg girls wanting a local store.
For girls who can't wait to try on the latest Triple Flip fashions, there is a contest this Saturday, June 9th at the . "Girls will have the opportunity to have fun trying on clothes from our Triple Flip dream closet, choose their ultimate outfit, and walk the runway for their chance to win their entire look," says Linda Maslechko, President and Co-Founder of Triple Flip, who will be onsite to meet Winnipeg's fans.
Triple Flip's successful retail concept caters exclusively to pre-teen girls' active lifestyles with high-quality clothing that is stylish, comfortable and age appropriate - something that's simply not been done before, for this age group.
"We really focus on engaging and empowering girls," says Maslechko. "We want to give them the opportunity to express themselves at such an important stage in life by contributing design ideas, giving feedback on Facebook, and giving them a feeling of brand ownership."
Twenty-four lucky Winnipeg girls were recently chosen to be "Flip Girl" models, in a random draw. They will be participating in a live, professional fashion photo shoot on Sunday June 10th, at Centre Court of St Vital Centre. Their poster images will be displayed at the Winnipeg store and online at for everyone to see.
Triple Flip was founded in 2005 after Linda Maslechko and co-founder, Mona Rae Peterson recognized from their own shopping experiences with their daughters, that there just weren't any clothes that really suited the active lifestyles of this age group. The duo won the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2009 for the customer-focused niche store.
