Additionally, Perez opted to do her own makeup and drove with her fiancé in her car, rather than in an expensive limo.
"No guest approached me with complaints about missing out on monogrammed matchbooks or pouches of customized M&Ms," Perez remarked. "No complaints from guests hoping to shell out even more cash (on shower gifts) to attend my big day."

But the traditions that are not important should not take up space within a strict budget."
For example, brides may opt for simpler invitations, borrow jewelry from family members, or use credit card rewards to pay for the honeymoon.
