Bank's Deputy General Counsel named 'Tomorrow's Leader' at Canadian General Counsel Awards

(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 06/14/12 -- Jeffrey Ellis, Deputy General Counsel & Assistant Corporate Secretary, BMO Financial Group, took one of the top honours at the eighth annual Canadian General Counsel Awards held earlier this week at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto. Mr. Ellis was named 'Tomorrow's Leader' for his superior legal capability and for demonstrating effective leadership on legal matters affecting the bank's business.

The CGCA award program honours excellence in the In-House Counsel community. A panel of 20 senior partners from national law firms made the selection.
Mr. Ellis leads the in-house team that is responsible for legal matters pertaining to BMO Harris Bank's personal and commercial banking operations in the United States.
