Jana Kramer's Self-Titled Album Debuts at No. 5 on Country Album Chart & No. 2 Among Digital Country Album Sales
Nashville Newcomer Currently on Brad Paisley's Virtual Reality Tour Performing on Virtual Opry Stage
(firmenpresse) - NASHVILLE, TN -- (Marketwire) -- 06/15/12 -- Nashville's favorite new singer-songwriter, Jana Kramer, made an impressive debut at No. 5 on the SoundScan Top Country Albums Chart with her self-titled album released June 5th, 2012, through Elektra Nashville. The album, produced by Scott Hendricks (Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn), also ranked as the No. 2 selling digital release, behind none other than Alan Jackson, in the country genre.
Named one of "Summers Hottest Artists" by People Country and one of the "Season's Biggest New Names" by Billboard, Kramer is currently on the road in support of her album with Brad Paisley's Virtual Reality Tour, performing on the Virtual Opry stage. The tour, which is her first, began in May and continues through the fall (tour dates listed below).
The self-titled album -- which garnered rave reviews from outlets including Taste of Country, with 4 Stars and Roughstock, with 4.5 stars -- includes Kramer's first single "Why Ya Wanna," currently No 17 on the Mediabase and Billboard charts. Kramer has already sold over almost 500,000 digital singles, including 280,000 of "Why Ya Wanna."
Kramer, also known for her roles on One Tree Hill, Entourage, Friday Night Lights and others, recently performed at the CMT Awards and gave multiple performances at CMA Music Fest, while celebrating her album release in advance with Fox & Friends Summer Concert Series on June 1st.
