Transmode announces Enlighten(TM) and first Ecosystem partner - Chronos Technology

2012 - Transmode, a global supplier of packet-optical networking solutions,
today announced the launch of the company's Enlighten(TM) multi-layer management
suite and accompanying Enlighten Ecosystem. The company also announced its first
partner in the ecosystem, Chronos Technology Limited, a leading provider of
network synchronization monitoring and management solutions.
Packet-optical networks have continued to become more sophisticated with large-
scale deployments utilizing ROADM-based Flexible Optical Networks at the optical
layer and services ranging from Layer 1 transport to Layer 2 Ethernet and
recently even Layer 2.5 MPLS-TP services. Transmode's corresponding network
management capabilities have also increased in sophistication to enable simple
point and click provisioning across all layers coupled with a powerful multi-
layer Graphical User Interface to ensure full visibility of all necessary
network and service parameters.
Transmode has further extended these management capabilities to include fully
integrated network planning and design tools, to provide a full life-cycle
solution that enables operators to move seamlessly between network planning,
deployment and operation phases of the life-cycle, via the Enlighten management
suite.
To further enhance Enlighten, Transmode has also developed an ecosystem of
third-party software solutions that further extends the network and service
management capabilities available to network operators.
The first publicly-announced partner within the Enlighten Ecosystem is Chronos
Technology, a UK-based provider of network synchronization solutions and
services, including its internationally recognized Sync MasterClass vendor-
neutral training course. The integration into Enlighten brings network
synchronization monitoring and management capabilities via the integration of
Chronos' SyncWatch network probes and SyncWatch NetSMART software into the
Enlighten management suite.
The integration of SyncWatch into Enlighten includes visibility of SyncWatch
probes on the Enlighten network GUI, full access to SyncWatch NetSMART and alarm
correlation between packet-optical network alarms and any associated SyncWatch
alarms to ensure swift resolution of any sync affecting network events.
