BlueWater Technologies Provides Custom Audio Visual Technology to Beck's Superior Hybrids' New Research Building
BlueWater Designs, Engineers, and Implements State-of-the-Art AV Technology for 10,000 Square Foot Conference Room

Beck's Superior Hybrids is the largest independent, family-owned seed company in the United States, serving farmers in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky. Known for providing farmers with the highest quality seed and performance, Beck's Superior Hybrids' continued growth required a new 30,500 square foot research building. Within the new facility, 10,000 square feet is allocated to a 400-person capacity conference room.
"BlueWater was tasked with designing, engineering and implementing the right infrastructure to meet Beck's Superior Hybrids' specific requirements," said BlueWater Technologies' Director of Sales Mack Truax. "The number one objective was to ensure all 400 people could easily view presentations and clearly hear the speaker from anywhere in the room, which required the latest in to accommodate a space of this size."
Designing a high-tech conference room, BlueWater used the latest in backend and frontend AV technology. BlueWater implemented a Crestron DigitalMedia backbone to easily transport and switch digital audio and video signals between all the devices from a single touchscreen controller. This will operate multiple projectors, audio control and processing, and various media sources including PCs, Blu-ray players, etc. BlueWater designed this particular infrastructure because it can easily update the solution with new technology as it advances.
"We chose BlueWater for this project due to the custom nature of the AV technology we wanted and the company's expertise," said Beck's Superior Hybrids' Network Systems Engineer Brad Fruth. "It was an added benefit that BlueWater provided a complete package from engineering, design, installation, structured cabling, and more. I liked not having to manage multiple vendors for this initiative."
To make a bigger impact during presentations, BlueWater installed an annotation screen within the lectern. Presenters can annotate on any input in the system, including a PC, laptop, blu-ray player, etc., which is displayed on the three, 17-foot projection screens throughout the room. BlueWater took Beck's Superior Hybrids' ideas and brought them to life to enhance communication for employees, sales teams, suppliers, and customers.
