Biogas Nord AG enters the Czech market

Bielefeld, June 20th 2012. Biogas Nord AG, the leading provider of
innovative and customized energy solutions in the field of biogas
technology, is continuing its global expansion, having signed a contract
for its first Czech biogas project. Overall, Biogas Nord AG is now active
in 14 countries. The new project in Sazava, the Czech Republic, follows the
Company's strategy - the expansion of its global presence and investment in
self owned biogas plants. The plant is expected to begin operation in
November 2012, providing heat and electricity to a nearby 14,000-head pig
farm. This 1.2 MW biogas plant will be extended to 2 MW during next year.
'By entering the Czech market we are making another important step in
expanding our global presence. Our ability to build highly efficient,
large-scale biogas plants, customized to the needs of our clients, was
crucial for the Czech operators in making the decision to purchase our
technology', said Ms. Asnat Drouianov, Co-General Manager of Biogas Nord.
Our investment in the Sazava project follows the Company's strategy to
create a long-term, independent and stable source of income. Biogas Nord
Power AG, a 100% subsidiary of Biogas Nord AG, holds a 48% stake in the
Czech biogas plant. The remaining stakes are held by two Czech investment
companies.
Petr Marek, Biogas Nord's Czech Country Manager, declared: 'It is Biogas
Nord's unique products, such as the Performance Guarantee and the
BiNoLiquifeed, which provide Biogas Nord with the edge to become the
leading biogas technology provider in the Czech Republic. In particular,
the Performance Guarantee was crucial for the investors and the financing
bank. No other technology provider was able to offer a comparable product,
which guarantees a minimum production of at least 88% of the plant's
theoretical energy production.'
Shortly after entering the contract for Sazava, Biogas Nord AG has signed
two additional contracts for building biogas plants in the Czech Republic.
These 1.4 MW and 800 kW plants are already under construction. The total
sales turnover of these three plants is approximately EUR 10 million.
