Coviello Jr. has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Drawing on his 30 years of experience in the security industry, Coviello brings expertise in strategic planning, operations, and financial management to AtHoc as the company continues to execute on its aggressive goals and market expansion initiatives. Separately, AtHoc also announced today the successful completion of a $5.6 million investment round led by Intel Capital, the global investment arm of chipmaker Intel Corp.

Currently executive chairman of RSA, the security division of EMC and executive vice president of EMC Corporation, Coviello's tenure, influence, and experience in cyber security and high technology organizations make him a recognized industry leader. He plays a key role in RSA's strategy, which comprise EMC's global plans for information-centric security. Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer of RSA Security, Inc. prior to its acquisition by EMC in 2006. Coviello joined RSA in 1995 and has been a driving force in its rapid growth from $25 million in 1995 to revenues of over $700 million in 2010. He also serves on the Board of Directors at EnerNOC, a leader in Demand Response Systems for energy conservation. Coviello graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts.
