Eco-Education Organization Replaces Legacy Storage Environment With Oracle SAN Solution to Reduce Costs and Increase Productivity

To better support its educational programs and website, Earth Rangers required a scalable, high capacity, high performance storage solution that could be implemented quickly to help store photos, videos, pictures and other rich content.

The solution supports the organization's growing library of educational Web content, which consists of an additional 20 terabytes of data each year.
The Pillar Axiom 600 Storage System also helps increase overall productivity and reduce slowdowns and delays with its patented Quality of Service capabilities, improving the ability to retrieve videos, pictures, and other content for the organization's eco-educational Web sites.
The Pillar Axiom 600 Storage System's advanced storage management capabilities enable Earth Rangers to achieve significant power savings in its data center. With the ability to allocate applications to premium, high, medium and low archive tiers in a single system, the organization minimizes energy use and reduces heat generation.
