Rene Ruiz has always had a love affair with fashion. Growing up in Cuba, he escaped the realities by watching classic films from Hollywood's Golden Age. "I drew my inspiration from the fashions worn by some of Hollywood's most glamorous stars such as Joan Crawford, Grace Kelly, Cary Grant and Gary Cooper," said Ruiz.
Ruiz carried his love of fashion to Miami where he came to study architecture. But he continued to be seduced by the fashion world, graduating from the Miami International Fine Arts College.
His 5,000-square-foot flagship store in Coral Gables is home to a talented team who ensure the made in America product continues to be one of Ruiz's proudest accomplishments, and that every detail receives careful scrutiny. With endless rolls of luxurious fabrics and textures at their fingertips, Ruiz and his team have cultivated a very sophisticated and loyal following.
In recent years, Ruiz has truly gone International, showing his collection at market during Fashion Week in New York as well as in Paris.
