TOP Server Introduces Electronic Flow Measurement, Updated Diagnostics and Additional Functionality for Midstream Applications

TOP Server Version 5.9 adds the first phase of the new that enables EFM data export for midstream applications in the oil and gas industry. EFM data and analysis is important for measuring production and other metrics, as well as for reporting and compliance purposes. The first phase of the EFM plug-in provides users with the EFM Exporter Plug-In, with export capabilities for the Flow-Cal proprietary CFX file format, with future support to include Quorum PGAS, generic CSV and Flow-Cal Liquids formats. Also included in the suite are connectivity drivers for Enron Modbus and OMNI Flow Computers, with future support to include Fisher ROC and ABB Totalflow.
Top Server is Software Toolbox's OPC and native HMI device connectivity software application offering more than 130 different device drivers and plug-ins. Powered by Kepware, TOP Server 5.9 delivers new drivers as well as enhancements to the main server and many existing drivers. TOP Server has been a major communications choice for years in oil and gas downstream applications. Planned updates will focus on expanding upstream and midstream connectivity solutions to provide end-users with a comprehensive oil and gas solution.

The Oil and Gas Industry Suite for TOP Server, a cost-effective option for oil and gas industry communications, will include the new OMNI Flow Computer driver, Enron Modbus driver and WITS Suite drivers, complementing an already extensive array of drivers.
Additional improvements in TOP Server Version 5.9 include:
- Users can now configure TOP Server protocol diagnostics at both the channel and device level to automatically save to a file for future review, providing enhanced troubleshooting of device communication issues over time.
- TOP Server OPC diagnostics can be set to automatically save to a file, allowing future review for troubleshooting client connectivity issues over time.
