("itracks") and Artafact jointly announced today they have come to mutually agreeable settlement terms on the patent infringement lawsuit itracks filed against Artafact in 2008. The terms of the settlement are confidential; however, itracks has agreed to license its patent to Artafact in exchange for monetary consideration. As a result, the pending case in the District of Massachusetts will be dismissed.
The patent itracks offered for licensure is U.S. Patent No. 6,256,663, an invention entitled "System and Method For Conducting Focus Groups Using Remotely Located Participants Over A Computer Network." The patent was issued on July 3, 2001 and subsequently assigned to itracks.
