Cloud Credential Council Names Marcel Heilijgers Executive Director
(firmenpresse) - ROTTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS -- (Marketwire) -- 06/27/12 -- The , the global organization for cloud computing standards and mandates, has named Marcel Heilijgers as its executive director. In this role, Heilijgers will manage the organization's operations, as well as its expansion to include cloud vendors, user organizations, professional associations and certification bodies across the world. Heilijgers has nearly 15 years of global management experience in the IT industry, with previous leadership roles in Novell Worldwide and Microsoft.
"I am very pleased to take on this new role in the CCC," says Heilijgers. "We are already working on the expansion of our certification portfolios to better meet the needs of various professionals impacted by cloud computing."
The CCC is an independent, vendor-neutral developer of cloud competence certifications looking to serve as the key resource for global cloud standards collaboration. Using a cooperative approach to share knowledge and insights into the cloud industry, the council also acts as a platform to assure the quality of design and delivery for cloud certification training programs.
The CCC is currently a combination of 33 partners, 10 members and eight review board members, yet Heilijgers has even greater expectations for the council in his sights.
"We are looking to expand our membership base in the form of individuals and organizations," says Heilijgers. "One of our main long-term objectives is to have full global coverage, with local CCC representation in every country."
In the true collaborative fashion in which it was designed, the CCC is also looking to industry professionals for their thoughts on the current cloud landscape, as well as where the industry is headed. Individuals are invited to take the brief survey at and will be provided the results once the analysis is concluded.
The Cloud Credential Council (CCC) is the international industry representation body mandated to drive alignment and develop standards for cloud computing domain that is important for organizational and individual training and certification.
