The Third Annual GROW Conference Is Focused on Re-Thinking Business

(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/28/12 -- With geeks on trains, planes and buses, the tech community across North America descends upon Vancouver, Canada, August 22-24 for GROW2012.
GROW2012 celebrates its third year bringing together a record 800 tech founders and executives from fast growing companies like Box, Zendesk, Indiegogo and Modcloth to talk about the end of business as usual.
Debbie Landa, Founder and CEO of Dealmaker Media and the Grow Conference, says, "By exporting the Silicon Valley culture to Vancouver, the most beautiful city in the world, the GROW conference has doubled in size in 2 years. This conference is fast-becoming the must-attend event for entrepreneurs around the world."
In addition to the GROW conference, we've added GROWtalks. GROWtalks is a one day conference for startup teams to learn how to create simple, actionable metrics, and use them to make better product and marketing decisions. Industry experts will share actionable advice on how to improve design, product and customer development, acquisition, retention, and more.
The excitement for the conference has spread into the northwest tech community who have created "Geeks on a Train" to ride up to GROW. The train starts in Portland, stops in Seattle and ends in Vancouver. People from San Francisco, LA, and even Vancouver are flying into to PDX to hop on the train and start the celebrating early. "Geeks on a Train? Geeks on things are my thing! I gotta jump on board to make sure they do it right," says Dave McClure, founder of 500 Startups.
Train cars are only the start of the journey. With a week's worth of activities, GROW2012 is one of the must-attend events. "High quality speakers, like minded entrepreneurs and a chance to get a taste of the Vancouver startup community...what else could you want?" says Red Russak from Startup City Seattle.
