A New Article Warns That Digital Technology Is Causing Intimacy to Decline -- a Finding That Has Drawn the Concern, and the Comment, of Dallas Pastor Ed Young

Intimacy is a topic on which can speak with authority; in addition to years of pastoral ministry, he has recently penned a well-received new book, Sexperiment, in which he addresses the topic of sexual intimacy within the confines of marriage. Young writes that many married couples, particularly Christians, underplay the important benefits that sex can offer; in reality, however, he contends that regular intimacy is vital for a happy marriage.
Particularly, Young writes that sexual intimacy can offer married couples improved communication, and heightened standards of purity. Furthermore, sexual intimacy provides married couples with a greater sense of unity, and with a stronger understanding of God's purpose for the marriage.
In addition to listing the benefits of marital intimacy, Ed Young also offers his readers a challenge. Specifically, Sexperiment exhorts Christian married couples to have sex together every day for a full week, and to see how their married relationship improves as a result.
Young wrote Sexperiment with his wife, Lisa, and bases his teachings on his own married experience as well as years of pastoral ministry.
