Journal Register Company Appoints Jan Dewey Publisher of New York Properties
Ira Fusfeld Named Publisher Emeritus of the Daily Freeman
(firmenpresse) - YARDLEY, PA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/03/12 -- today announced the appointment of Jan Dewey as Publisher of its New York cluster. Ms. Dewey will oversee all operations in New York, which includes in Saratoga Springs, in Troy, the in Kingston, and in Oneida, as well as all non-daily publications.
Ms. Dewey most recently served as Advertising Director for the Poughkeepsie Journal, a post she held for more than 10 years. She has also served as Retail Advertising Manager and Classified Advertising Manager during her more than 20 years at the Journal.

Ms. Dewey will be responsible for all of the Company's New York operations including strategy, content, product development and revenue.
Ms. Dewey will be based in Kingston, where she will be in charge of day-to-day management of the Freeman.
Ira Fusfeld, Publisher of the Daily Freeman for the last 25 years, has been named Publisher Emeritus and will continue to be involved with the operations of the newspaper.
Mr. Fusfeld has been Publisher of the Daily Freeman since 1987. He joined the Freeman staff in 1970 as a sports writer, eventually becoming Sports Editor, Editor and General Manager before his promotion to Publisher.
