Munich, 5 July 2012 - pbb Stiftung Deutsche Pfandbriefbank has announced
its Architecture Prize for the eleventh time. Under the patronage of the
German Minister for Transport, Building and Urban Affairs and the President
of the Association of German Architects (BDA), the prize is awarded to
exemplary commercial buildings in Germany.
With the pbb Architecture Prize of 15,000 EUR, pbb wants to further raise
awareness for the aesthetic design of commercial real estate. The improved
integration of the property into its urban surroundings and ecological
aspects of the building are important assessment criteria for the award.
In addition to the pbb Architecture Prize, the pbb Foundation also awards
the Young Architect's Prize of 5,000 EUR. The award is presented for papers
submitted by German university students in the area of commercial buildings
for their Masters, Bachelor or Diploma dissertations or as papers during
the semester.
Applications for both prizes can be submitted to the pbb Foundation until
20 August 2012. The applications will be judged by an independent jury of
experts. The award is planned for the autumn 2012.
