(firmenpresse) - POUGHKEEPSIE, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 07/09/12 -- (IAOP®) announced Accenture has been named the world's best outsourcing provider for the fifth consecutive year and KPMG topped the list of leading advisors to the industry in the 2012 Global Outsourcing 100® rankings released today.

"This year's rankings for the Global Outsourcing 100 and World's Best Outsourcing Advisors represent the best in outsourcing, hailing from every corner of the globe," said IAOP CEO Debi Hamill. "Getting selected shows these companies came out on top following a rigorous application process and unbiased competition judged by an independent panel of recognized industry leaders in outsourcing."

Ranked among the top 10 service providers, along with Accenture, are, in order: (2) Infosys, (3) HCL Technologies, (4) CBRE, (5) ISS, (6) NCR, (7) Wipro Technologies, (8) Capgemini, (9) CSC and (10) TeleTech.

The leading players on both lists possess strong customer references, management capabilities, balanced performance and demonstrated competencies in an industry that is increasingly becoming more strategic and used for higher skilled knowledge-based activities.

Information gathered during the selection showed that outsourcing remains a growing segment of business. Average revenue for 2012 Global Outsourcing 100 providers was $1.6 billion, with a growth rate of 6 percent versus 13 percent in 2008.

As a reflection of the tighter employment picture globally, this growth did not result in a growth of employee count for the providers. IAOP found 17,400 employees were engaged in outsourcing on average with 2012 Global Outsourcing providers; representing the same number as in 2008.

Advisors also showed that 2011 was a growth year for business with a revenue growth of 37 percent while growing employment by 12 percent year over year.

Other companies in the Leaders judging category of companies with more than $50 million in revenue or 5,000-plus employees are represented by providers of a diverse array of services to many industries across all corners of the globe.

In addition to the 100 service providers, IAOP produces more than 80 sublists by service area, industry served and geography that provide customers of outsourced services with an invaluable tool for selecting the right service provider.

The Global Outsourcing 100® -- an independently judged, opt-in ranking of the world's best outsourcing service providers and advisors has become an important resource to help companies compare providers and advisors using an objective methodology. This is the eighth provider list and fifth advisor ranking.

"In today's economy, it is more important than ever for outsourcing end users to be able to easily identify and select the right company for their outsourcing needs," said Jag Dalal, IAOP Managing Director, Thought Leadership, and chairman of the judges' panel. "Getting named to The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors is a great recognition, particularly given the strong competition, and these companies should be proud of achieving excellence in the field."

The Rising Stars category of smaller fast-growing companies that are ranked numbers 76 to 100 provide a snapshot of outsourcing destinations to watch.
