BDI BioEnergy International AG is building the biggest multi-feedstock
biodiesel plant in France

- Order volume amounts to EUR 16.4 million
- Plant uses animal fats and used cooking oils as raw materials

(Grambach, 10.07.2012) BDI - BioEnergy International AG, the prominent
technology supplier and specialised plant manufacturer in the waste to
value field, has been commissioned to build a multi-feedstock biodiesel
plant in the port of the French city of Le Havre. The order volume amounts
to EUR 16.4 million.

The commission involves the entire biodiesel process as well as the
assembly and installation of the plant. What will in future be the biggest
multi-feedstock biodiesel plant in France will be producing high-quality
biodiesel exclusively from waste materials instead of from rapeseed oil,
which has been the main raw material used in France up to now. The customer
is EcoMotion France, a subsidiary of Saria and of Intermarché, one of the
largest supermarket chains in France. The biodiesel manufactured in the new
plant will be marketed via the filling station network of Intermarché.
Locally collected animal fats, that are not approved for human consumption,
and used cooking oil will be the raw materials processed. The plant will be
producing 75,000 tonnes of biodiesel per year.

BDI has already built biodiesel and biogas plants for Saria Group companies
in the past. The company has constructed biodiesel plants for EcoMotion
Germany in Lünen and Malchin. EcoMotion France can enjoy an additional
benefit with this commission, because biodiesel made from waste materials
counts double in calculating achievement of the national targets for

renewable energies in France - like in many other EU countries.

'We are delighted to have succeeded in convincing our longstanding customer
Saria about our know-how and skills again in this project. Our new
commission demonstrates that there continues to be potential for new plants
in the biodiesel sector. We do, however, think that there is a definite
emphasis on plants that are able to process waste materials and thus help
to promote environmental protection on a sustained basis. As the market and
technology leader for multi-feedstock biodiesel plants, BDI is excellently
equipped to satisfy these requirements', says Edgar Ahn, Chief Sales
Officer at BDI.
