"Security Plus" Package Bundle Includes Emergency Panic Button, Two-Way Communication Services and Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors
(firmenpresse) - HOLLYWOOD, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 07/12/12 -- Devcon Security, a residential and commercial security provider servicing a customer base of nearly 300,000, today announced the launch of its new "Security Plus," that will allow seniors to more effectively utilize their security systems. The new package includes an emergency panic button for medical emergencies, a detector for smoke or carbon monoxide and two-way vocal communication services.
Available for customers over the age of 70, the panic button can be programmed to indicate a medical emergency so responders are prepared to provide the right assistance.
"Most alarms received by monitoring centers are triggered by panic buttons," said William Pratt, Vice President of Customer Care for Devcon Security. "Responders are often unable to speak with the individual that pressed the panic button, which leaves them without critical information needed to prepare for a potential medical emergency. This system enables the person triggering the alarm to indicate a medical emergency. Now emergency personnel will know ahead of time and can prepare more effectively, leading to better outcomes for Devcon customers."
In order to ensure user comfort with the new features, Devcon has expanded the typical three day rescission period in favor of a 30 day period.
