Cermaq ASA : Cermaq in discussions with Chilean company

Based on comments in Chilean media Thursday 12(th) July 2012, Cermaq herby
confirms that discussions are being held with the owners of the Chilean fish
farming company Cultivos Marinos Chiloé S.A. (CMCH) with regards to a potential
acquisition of the company.

There are still substantial uncertainties with regards to a completion of the
transaction. No more comments as to the process or timing will currently be
provided. A further announcement will be made as and when appropriate.
