Kesko's sales in June 2012

KESKO CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 13.07.2012 AT 09.00 1(2)
The Kesko Group's sales in June 2012, excluding VAT, totalled ?840.6 million and
were at the same level as the year before.
In Kesko's food trade, sales in June were ?367.6 million, a decrease of 2.4%.
Sales to the K-food store chains were down 2.1%. The groceries sales of K-food
stores increased by 3.7%. The sales of Pirkka products to K-food stores
increased by 7.3%.
In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in June were ?118.7 million, an
increase of 5.6%. K-citymarket's sales of home and speciality goods, the sales
of Anttila, Asko, Sotka and Intersport grew compared to the previous year.
In the building and home improvement trade, sales in June were ?266.7 million,
an increase of 5.2%. Sales in Finland were down by 2.0%. Sales abroad increased
by 10.2% in terms of euros. In Russia, sales increased by 20.9% in terms of
euros.
In the car and machinery trade, sales in June were ?101.0 million, a decrease of
12.4%. VV-Auto's sales in June were ?62.0 million, down 15.8%, which was
attributable to the car tax change effective from 1 April 2012. Konekesko's
sales in June were ?39.0 million, a decrease of 6.3% compared to the previous
year.

Change, % indicates the change over the corresponding period of the previous
year.
In June 2012, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was
20, which was the same as in the previous year. The total number of selling days
in January-June was the same as in the previous year. The number of retail
selling days in June was 29, which was two more than in the previous year. The
total number of retail selling days in January-June was one more than in the
previous year.

connection with the interim reports.
