- Broader strategic positioning
Munich, 13/07/12: The company name change to 'GIEAG Immobilien AG', adopted
at the AGM on 7 May, is now legally effective after being entered in the
commercial register. With the name change, we are underlining our strategic
focus as a publicly traded company.
The background for the name change is the new strategic positioning and
focus of the company in the areas of both project development and property
management. Our strategic focus was, and is, on the development of office,
retail and logistics buildings. In addition, the company group is also
involved - in recent years, increasingly so - as an investor. In this area
we concentrate on residential properties with particularly attractive
development potential.
The name change is a logical step with the aim of broader strategic
positioning, and to clearly demonstrate - both internally and externally -
the consistent further development of the business model of GIEAG
Immobilien AG as a listed real estate company.
