AHL Investment Strategies SPC-Class D Man AHL Diversified 2 CAD Notes Announces Launch of New Series of Notes
(firmenpresse) - GEORGE TOWN, GRAND CAYMAN -- (Marketwire) -- 07/13/12 -- AHL Investment Strategies SPC - Class D Man AHL Diversified 2 CAD Notes (the "Fund") announces the launch of a new series of Canadian dollar-denominated redeemable Class D Man AHL Diversified 2 CAD Notes (the "Notes").
The Fund currently issues the Notes in two Series: Series 1 AHL SPC Notes and Series 2 AHL SPC Notes. The Series 1 AHL SPC Notes and the Series 2 AHL SPC Notes are separate series of the Notes referable to the same portfolio of assets. Save with respect to the investment management fees and the performance fees, the rights and attributes of the Series 1 AHL SPC Notes and Series 2 AHL SPC Notes are identical.
The Fund's investment objective is to provide investors with the opportunity to realize capital appreciation through investment returns that have a low correlation to traditional forms of stock and bond securities. To pursue its investment objective, the Fund will invest the proceeds of any offering of Notes in predominantly trend-following trading programmes: the AHL Diversified Programme and the AHL Evolution Programme, which are implemented and managed by AHL, a division of Man Investments Limited (the "Investment Manager").
In managing the assets of the Fund, the Investment Manager may employ the AHL Evolution Programme. Similar to the AHL Diversified Programme, the AHL Evolution Programme is a trading program that invests in a portfolio of futures, forward contracts, swaps and other financial derivative instruments both on and off exchange. The AHL Evolution Programme trades in a number of markets not traditionally accessed by the AHL Diversified Programme in both developed and emerging markets.
In order to access the AHL Evolution Programme, it is anticipated that a portion of the assets of the Fund will be invested in a series of U.S. dollar-denominated open-end tracker certificates (the "Credit Suisse Notes") issued by Credit Suisse AG. The Credit Suisse Notes entitle the holders thereof to payment upon redemption of an amount in U.S. dollars equal to the value of a notional investment in a portfolio which provides exposure to the AHL Evolution Programme. The return on the Credit Suisse Notes is subject to a structuring fee, currently equal to 0.40% per annum of the net asset value of the Credit Suisse Notes.
