MiC – the first Wiki for Dynamic Systems
Wiki and Simulation-Models - Interactive, Informative and Free to Use
(firmenpresse) - Martinsried / Munich, July 23 2012: Dynamic systems can be found everywhere in our environment, since every process has a certain dynamic that can be determined and described. May be the car driving uphill, or the tank getting filled with some liquid – by using the interactive Wiki called MiC, engineers and students can explore which information is required to describe dynamic systems.
The approach of providing an interactive Wiki is very simple: measure what you feed into a dynamic system and measure what you get out from the dynamic system within a specific period of time. This way, various types of systems have been measured and are now ready to be explored inside MiC. MiC’s smart part lies in the automatic calculations underneath. By using these calculations, measured data will be transformed after one click into mathematical continuous-time models. Furthermore, the position of poles and zeros and the system behavior in the time and frequency domain will be calculated and displayed easily to understand. With these MiC calculation results, all information is available for describing and simulating the behavior of dynamic systems. As an extra-value, ExpertControl as provider of MiC allows free download of all simulation models. With these simulation models, the dynamic systems from MiC can be executed in several simulation environments including MATLAB / Simulink, LabVIEW, RecurDyn or even Excel. From this point on, the simulation model allows extending model structures and modifying system parameters to simulate the impacts of these modifications on the system behavior.
Regardless whether you are student or an experienced development engineer: MiC helps getting a clear understanding of system theories to improve results and MiC helps to get models faster to have more results until quitting time.
