Ludei Unleashes "The CAAT" on HTML5 Game Developers
Breakthrough JavaScript Engine Dramatically Accelerates Game Development Cycles; See "The CAAT" at Casual Connect in Seattle at Booth b27
(firmenpresse) - SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/23/12 -- Ludei, the popular HTML5 game development platform, will unveil tomorrow at Casual Connect in Seattle a powerful new twist to its arsenal with the announcement of "The CAAT" game engine. CAAT -- short for Canvas Advanced Animation Toolkit -- is an advanced toolchest for game developers that offers pre-designed code snippets to rapidly improve product time-to-market.
"The CAAT has always been our secret weapon, quietly sitting in the background of our development stack, waiting to be set free on developers," noted Ludei President Joe Monastiero. "It basically completes version one of our platform -- CocoonJS for API acceleration and enhancement; the cloud compiler for cross-platform builds; our monetization engine for bridging native payments and ad networks; and now our CAAT game engine. If someone does not believe that HTML5 works for performance gaming, don't give away your source code. Contact us first. Seriously."
The CAAT engine is available as open source, allowing developers to enhance and fork it to their heart's content.
The CAAT works with Canvas, CSS and WebGL. It's a JavaScript-based, multi-instance, director-driven Scene Graph Manager. It is a complete gaming framework, featuring on-screen entities, custom matrix stacks, game loop hooks, scenes, scene transitions, affine transformations, pixel perfect on-screen entity identification, complex paths, assignable behaviors and seamless Box2d integration.
The CAAT, created by Ludei CTO Ibon Tolosana, is available for immediate use at . The CAAT has been used already to deploy several games, including Ludei's own Sumon, a graphics-intensive number guessing game available in the iOS and Android markets as well as the Chrome store and Facebook.
The Ludei Platform allows HTML5 developers to develop, accelerate, enhance, deploy and monetize their games on mobile devices as native iOS and Android applications. CocoonJS provides the extended APIs and performance boost necessary for the animated game experience and The CAAT game engine helps accelerate the development process and time to market. The promise of HTML5 cross-platform development is reality with Ludei, CocoonJS and The CAAT.
Ludei makes HTML5 performance gaming a reality for game developers & publishers eager to develop, deploy and monetize their games on iOS and Android devices. Founded by CEO Eneko Knorr and based in San Francisco, Ludei was funded by the Spain-based startup accelerator Ideateca. To learn more go to .
