Kent D.B. Sinclair Joins Stroz Friedberg as Managing Director
Veteran Attorney With Cross-Border Litigation and Data Security Experience to Enhance Firm's Boston Office
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 07/31/12 -- Stroz Friedberg LLC, a global digital risk management and investigations firm, announced that Kent D.B. Sinclair has been named Managing Director.
Based in the firm's Boston office, Mr. Sinclair joins Stroz Friedberg from Seyfarth Shaw LLP where he was a Partner in the Litigation Department and Chair of the Cross-Border Litigation Group. His practice focused on trade secret and commercial litigation, including representation of information technology clients in disputes arising out of technology agreements such as managed web hosting contracts, license agreements, and software development contracts. Additionally, Mr. Sinclair handled a broad range of financial and consumer related litigation matters, including defense of class action cases. He specialized in the prosecution and defense of cases involving claims of unfair and deceptive business practices and representation of foreign clients in lawsuits and commercial arbitrations pending in the U.S.

Before joining Seyfarth Shaw, Mr. Sinclair devoted several years to work on legal reform and civil society development projects throughout Central and Eastern Europe. In 1990, he served as a Lecturer on Jurisprudence at the Charles University Faculty of Law in Prague, Czech Republic. He also implemented projects in the region with the American Bar Association Central and East European Law Initiative, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Center for Not-For-Profit Law. Through this experience, Mr. Sinclair gained understanding of European civil law systems. Mr. Sinclair received his J.D. from Yale Law School and earned a B.A. with high honors from Bates College.
