Oracle Announces Update to Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse
Offers Users Increased Flexibility in Application Development

Demonstrating its commitment to the developer and open source communities, Oracle today announced the latest release of .
This release of Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse introduces new design-time tools for (Oracle ADF), the standards based, strategic framework for and , and enhancements for developing secure Web Services.
The release is the first to support Eclipse Juno (3.8 and 4.2) and provides new JAX-WS design-time features for developers targeting both the and service security stacks.
A component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse is a free set of Eclipse-based plug-ins that enables developers to build Java EE, Web Service, Cloud, Spring and Oracle ADF applications for the Oracle Fusion Middleware platform.
New Design-Time Tools for Oracle ADF give users an integrated environment with seamless support for developing ADF based applications in conjunction with EJBs, POJOs, JSF and more. Building on previous ADF design time tools, Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 12.1.1.1 adds new features for the ADF Model making it easy to create ADF Data Controls and ADF Bindings. New tools and capabilities include:
Creation of ADF Data Controls from EJB and POJOs;
Redesigned Palette displays Tags (HTML, JSP, JSF, ADF Faces) and Data (Page Variables, Managed Beans, ADF Data Controls);
New Drag and Drop ADF Faces Patterns including Master-Detail, Forms, Data Visualizations;
Property sheet binding wizards are now ADF Bindings aware;
New AppXRay content assist, hyperlink navigation, and validation for ADF Data Controls and Page Bindings;
AppXRay-driven refactoring support for ADF Bindings and Page Definitions;
New ADF Page Definition Editor provides form-based editing, wizards, and validation;
AppXaminer dependency viewer displays ADF Bindings relationships within the application;
Eclipse Debugger enhancements for ADF Data Controls and Bindings including breakpoint support in ADF Page Definitions;
Improved iterative development of ADF applications with Oracle WebLogic Server.
Web Service Security for JAX-WS development enables users to develop secure, SOAP-based web services and clients for both the Oracle Web Service and Oracle WebLogic Web Service Security stacks. New capabilities include:
Support for Oracle Web Services Manager and Oracle WebLogic Web Service Security stacks;
Configure and browse Web Service Policy Store;
Add and Configure Web Service Policies for Java-based Web Service development;
Attach Web Service Policies to web service clients;
Deploy and test against Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.4 and higher.
