burgbad AG: Preliminary Results for 2009
- Sales of EUR 79.0 million at previous year's level
- Improvement in all key earnings figures
Bad Fredeburg, 22 February 2010 - Based on preliminary figures, burgbad AG,
the European market leader for premium bathroom furniture, generated sales
of EUR 79.0 million in the 2009 financial year, virtually matching the
previous year's figure (EUR 79.5 million). The company thus outperformed
the overall market once again.
In terms of earnings, based on preliminary calculations burgbad was able to
improve all of its key figures compared with the previous year. Earnings
before interest and taxes (EBIT) thus rose from EUR 6.9 million to EUR 7.2
million. The EBIT margin showed a corresponding improvement from 8.7 % to
9.1 %. Preliminary consolidated net income grew to EUR 4.8 million
(previous year: EUR 3.1 million), equivalent to earnings per share of EUR
1.36 (previous year: EUR 0.88).
