Rural/Metro Corporation Names Mark A. Lashley Senior Vice President of Operations
Experienced Service Industry Executive to Lead All Operational Areas of the Enterprise
(firmenpresse) - SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 08/06/12 -- Rural/Metro Corporation announced today that senior healthcare and service industry executive Mark A. Lashley has been named Senior Vice President of Operations. Mr. Lashley will join the Company August 13, 2012 and report directly to President & Chief Executive Officer Michael P. DiMino.

Immediately prior to joining the Company, Mr. Lashley served as a Regional Vice President for the $1.5 billion healthcare business of ARAMARK, a worldwide leader in providing food services, facilities management, uniform and career apparel to healthcare institutions, universities, school districts, stadiums and arenas, with more than 250,000 employees and in 22 countries. As Regional Vice President for Healthcare, Mr. Lashley led the food, environmental, and plant operations services to hospital clients in seven states, the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands.

Mr. Lashley has spent 19 years in operational and financial leadership positions with ARAMARK, serving in multiple roles in the correctional business unit before moving to the healthcare unit in 2009 as Vice President of Operations. From 2004 through 2009, he led teams in Florida, Kentucky and the Eastern Region ARAMARK operations as Vice President of Operations for Correctional Services, where he led his team through proposal, award and negotiation processes for some of the largest correctional food service contracts in the nation.
Mr. Lashley also worked from 2001 to 2004 as Regional Director of Finance for ARAMARK's Eastern Region, where he served as the liaison between the operational team and finance, information technology, supply chain management, and legal department. He was also responsible for developing cost models for new business and contract retention activities.
