New Equine Program Provides New Insights on Mindfulness of One's Actions

The award-winning just announced the addition of their new , Unbridled Bliss. For the past 2 years, yoga instructor (and certified equine manager) Alicia Shook has been working on developing the program in partnership with a local stable. After running her own horse training stable for over 20 years, Alicia wanted to bring the practice to share with the guests at The Lodge at Woodloch. "Horses are incredibly intuitive," explained Alicia, "as a prey animal, they rely solely on their intuition for survival. They have an uncanny ability to sense energy and body language in order to react immediately." Through this program, guests will be introduced to ground skills that will help develop self awareness, trust and a mindfulness of actions that can be taken out of the horse arena and into the real world.
Group and private sessions can be booked. Most participants have little or no experience with horses and are able to gain peace, strength and emotional balance by seeing their behaviors reflected in the horse's reactions. The program enlightens guests to discover patterns of behavior that may be holding them back from their intentions and goals.
Group sessions are $125 per person for a 1.5 hour session. Private sessions are $200 per person for 1.5 hours. All reservations can be made through the spa concierge at The Lodge at Woodloch.
