(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 08/09/12 -- The Ottawa St. Anthony Cachafaz are celebrating their recent win as BMO Team of the Week and kicking off their contention for BMO Team of the Week 2012 Champion at the BMO branch at 1247 Wellington St. in Ottawa, on Thursday, August 9.
"An Italian club, a Spanish name, Hungarian coach and a diverse group of boys - all united by their love of this beautiful game - has produced a truly winning combination this week," said Carolyn Booth, District Vice-President, Eastern Ontario, BMO Bank of Montreal. "This team looks beyond its limited resources and recognizes that soccer is about giving people in the community the opportunity to play, and keeping soccer accessible to kids in the neighbourhood."
The St. Anthony Cachafaz will receive BMO Team of the Week tracksuits and a $500 team prize. As part of the win, BMO will also be making a $500 donation on behalf of the Ottawa St. Anthony Cachafaz to KidSport Ottawa, an organization that helps Ottawa children and youth from low-income families participate in organized sport by providing for sport registration fees and equipment.

BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing the members of youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. Fifteen weekly winners have been named and are now entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians as BMO Team of the Week 2012 Champion. The grand prize includes a $125,000 refurbishment of their community soccer field; a road trip to a Toronto FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Montreal Impact FC, or Canadian National Team home game; and a $5,000 donation to the team's charity of choice. Votes can be cast August 13-27 at .
