Packers Most Expensive NFL Ticket
(firmenpresse) - SOUTH WINDSOR, CT -- (Marketwire) -- 08/09/12 -- With an average cost of $276 per ticket, the Green Bay Packers are the most expensive ticket in the NFL, according to Ticket Liquidator, the second-largest secondary ticketing website. This represents an increase of 27 percent from last year's price, when tickets were averaging $216. With the highest price in the NFL, we can assume fans are expecting a big year from Aaron Rodgers, James Starks, Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, Clay Matthews III and the rest of the team.
"What looks to be one of the best teams in the league with perhaps the most dedicated fan base in the NFL combined to make the Green Bay Packers the most in-demand ticket in the NFL," says Andrés Hidalgo, Media Relations, Ticket Liquidator. "Packer fans are notoriously fanatical, and the demand for game tickets is further proof of their devotion."
The most in-demand ticket on the Packers home schedule is against the San Francisco 49ers on September 9. The Niners made it to the NFC Championship Game last year and nearly went on to Super Bowl XLV but fell to the New York Giants. The average price for a ticket for the Green Bay vs. 49ers game is $304. The second most in-demand ticket pits two of the NFL's best quarterbacks against each other, as Aaron Rodgers takes on Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints on September 30 with tickets averaging $283. And at $ 279, NFC North matchup against the Detroit Lions on December 9 is the third most expensive ticket on the Green Bay home schedule. Currently the least expensive ticket to get into Lambeau Field is the game against the Tennessee Titans on December 2 with an average price of $195. Keep in mind the secondary ticket market is a fluid marketplace and ticket prices are subject to change and could currently be higher or lower.
