Strateco's President to Buy Shares in the Open Market

(firmenpresse) - BOUCHERVILLE, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 08/14/12 -- Guy Hebert, President and Chief Executive Officer and an insider of Strateco Resources Inc. ("Strateco")(TSX: RSC)(FRANKFURT: RF9), announces that he intends to buy common shares of Strateco on the open market, from time to time, on the Toronto Stock Exchange TSX, while Strateco is awaiting the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission's decision regarding the issuance of the license for the Matoush project underground exploration program. Mr. Hebert currently owns 6,063,614 shares of Strateco, directly and indirectly.

As mentioned in the quarterly report, in the eventuality that the license for the underground exploration program is granted, Strateco will resume discussions with potential strategic partners.
