New production process for raw-edged, heavy-duty V-belts / Performance increased by up to 15 percent / Some lengths already available from dealers

(PresseBox) - The raw-edged V-belts from the ContiTech Power Transmission Group now transmit even more power. Thanks to a new production process, the company has increased the performance of the CONTI-V® FO-ADVANCE heavy-duty V-belts by up to 15 percent. The belts realize drive solutions in many industrial applications: In machine and systems constructions, ventilation technology as well as in pumps and compressors.
With the new belts, the drives will be more cost-efficient. "We are able to transmit more power using the same space or the same power in a smaller installation space," explains Dirk Bartsch-Kuszewski, head of application engineering at the ContiTech Power Transmission Group. Other advantages: The belts show even better consistency in sets, they enter the pulley very precisely and generally run more smoothly. ContiTech invested in two new grinding machines for the modified production process.
Some lengths of new belt are available from dealers: In the profiles XPA, XPB, XPC and XPZ from 1250 mm to 3550 mm.
