L2 Consulting Services, Inc. Awarded Contract by ARINC to Develop Engineering for Cathay Pacific e-Enabled Aircraft Program
(firmenpresse) - AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 08/20/12 -- L2 Consulting Services, Inc. (L2) is pleased to announce that the company has been awarded a contract from ARINC to develop aircraft integration, engineering design and manufacture of the prototype kits for the Cathay Pacific e-Enabled Aircraft Program. The engineering efforts have commenced for the 777-200/300/300ER fleet and then will incorporate the A320, A330, A340, 747-400/8F fleets. The initial Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the 777 aircraft is scheduled to be completed in May of 2013.

The e-Enabled program is an advanced information management system designed to improve overall flight operations by offering fully-customized, integrated communications management of flight operations, data communication services, cabin services, maintenance, diagnostics and safety information. The system consists of twenty line replaceable units which includes Electronic Flight Bags (EFB), a cellular Terminal Wireless LAN (cTWLU) system, Cabin Wireless LAN (CWLU) systems, Iridium Satcom System and Avionics Interface Device (AID), all of which will interface to existing aircraft systems.
L2 Consulting Services, Inc. () provides avionics engineering, integration and installation services (FAA CRS L2ZR265X) for the global air transport industry. Since 1997, the company has been performing integration of digital avionics systems into analog and digital aircraft. Additionally, L2 offers full installation and support capabilities.
