Unified Pictures Promotes Ben Ruffman to Partner
(firmenpresse) - HOLLYWOOD, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/20/12 -- Already President of Production, Ben Ruffman was promoted to Partner of Unified Pictures. While continuing with his current responsibilities, which include project analysis, acquisitions, film financing and corporate capitalization, Ruffman will work directly with Keith Kjarval in all areas of production including development, packaging and co-production opportunities.
Ruffman joined the company in 2005, just after its founding, bringing commercial experience from BBC, ESPN and Columbia Pictures. He served as Executive Producer on Unified's acclaimed features The Perfect Sleep, XII, Bob Funk and Janie Jones, and is currently producing the highly anticipated $35 million CG animated feature, Noah's Ark, which is a musical and was written by Philip La Zebnik (Prince of Egypt, Pocahontas, Mulan).

In addition to Noah's Ark, Unified Pictures is in post-production on their crime thriller A Single Shot (starring Sam Rockwell, William H. Macy, Melissa Leo and Jeffrey Wright) and Decoding Annie Parker (starring Samantha Morton, Helen Hunt, Rashida Jones, Alice Eve and Aaron Paul).
