Vizrt Signs 1 Million US-Dollar Broadcast Graphics Deal with Channel Seven Australia
(Thomson Reuters ONE) -
Bergen, Norway, August 23, 2012. Vizrt Ltd. (Oslo Main List: VIZ)
Vizrt Ltd. announced today that the Company has signed a deal worth USD 1
million with Channel Seven Australia for the implementation of broadcast
graphics products in six of their stations.
Channel Seven Australia had been looking to replace outdated graphics system it
had been using in each of it's Capital City stations. Channel Seven found Vizrt
to fit the network's specific needs with its Content Pilot enterprise solution
and template based workflow. Templates on the various Vizrt systems can be
shared across each station with little need for customization. The deal includes
Viz Content Pilot for templated integration with the Avid iNews newsroom control
system. With Viz Content Pilot, journalists have access to a small but advanced
graphics editing tool that enables them to add images, text, videos, and maps to
a template that then create a playlist for Studio playout. In the Control Room,
under Studio automation or Viz Trio, Vizrt's real-time character generator (CG),
triggers the content live to air. Real-time 3D maps will be created and managed
in Viz Content Pilot through integration of Viz World. Viz World allows the
broadcaster to have a fully customized mapping system that integrates directly
with each of their Vizrt systems. Viz Engine, Vizrt's powerful real-time 3D
rendering engine, will display all the graphic content in SDI and DVI outputs.
Another component to expand Channel Seven's branding capability is Viz Ticker3D.
This advanced ticker system makes it possible for the network to create tickers
with multiple graphical elements at various speeds that can be displayed
simultaneously. The ticker templates can then be shared between stations while
the content of each ticker is unique to that station.
"With this purchase, Channel Seven has completely modernized its graphics
infrastructure and has built a centralized solution that will increase
efficiency over all their stations", said Martin Burkhalter, CEO of Vizrt. "We
are proud that Channel Seven has chosen Vizrt to be its complete graphics system
provider and we are looking forward to a long-term co-operation with this new
customer in Australia."
