Asda Money Reveals the Top Ten Domestic Pet Names.
(firmenpresse) - LEEDS, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 08/28/12 -- Research(i) from Asda Money reveals the UK's top 10 pet names for both dogs and cats.
Charlie is the number one name for cats and also the second most popular name for dogs. The name Alfie is another big hit amongst pet owners, as this is the most popular name for dogs and third most commonly used name for cats. Molly and Maz are also in the top three for cats and dogs, respectively.
Asda Money research shows that if you have named your cat Charlie or dog Alfie, you are not alone! Poppy, Oscar and Millie are also in the top ten for both cats and dogs names in the UK.
It appears to be a growing trend that household pets are being given human names. Research shows that nine times out of ten for cats a human name will be given. The only exception was the name Smudge which was the sixth most popular name for cats.
Choosing a pet name can be a fun process and you may want to give as much love and devotion into choosing a name as you would to taking care of your new pet.
