Zenoss Announces Support for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0
New ZenPack Provides Unified Monitoring and Service Assurance to Leading Virtualization Product
(firmenpresse) - AUSTIN, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 08/28/12 -- , a leading provider of unified IT operations software for physical, virtual, and cloud-based IT infrastructure, today announced a new ZenPack for managing and monitoring Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0, a leading enterprise virtualization solution that includes Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) hypervisor technology and management tools for both server and desktop deployments. The new ZenPack extends Zenoss Service Dynamics to manage Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, providing users of the platform with a unified view of their entire virtualized infrastructure, including dynamic dependencies and visualization.
The Zenoss ZenPack for Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization will be open sourced and made available to Zenoss Core Open Source users to provide continual refinement by Zenoss' more than 100,000 community members. Additionally, the ZenPack provides support for oVirt, an open source tool that provides a feature-rich management system for Linux-based KVM virtualization. Key capabilities include:
